NEST Celebrates 15th Anniversary, Proving Talent Does Not Have to Be Tethered
~Home-Based Advisors Gather Aboard HAL’s Eurodam for NEST Fest 2019~
OYSTER BAY, NY (October 21, 2019) – The Network of Entrepreneurs Selling Travel (NEST), the industry’s first and only marketing group exclusively for home-based travel advisors, celebrated their 15th anniversary aboard Holland America Line’s Eurodam this past week.
According to NEST president Kathryn Mazza-Burney, the organization, which was designed specifically for home-based business owners, was a trailblazer when it recognized the potential and power of the home-based advisor. “We were met with skepticism when we began in 2004, but as a family-owned business for nearly half a century, we recognized ourselves in these entrepreneurs. We understood the challenges of running your own business, but we also knew its singular rewards, which is why we bet on at-home travel advisors. Fifteen years later, no one doubts that decision now,” said Mazza-Burney.
NEST Fest 2019 included 150 home-based travel advisors and featured dynamic educational sessions, product workshops, peer-led panel sessions and featured speaker, the indomitable Stuart Lloyd Cohen. One of the original champions of the at-home business model, Cohen is deeply admired by NEST members and according to Mazza-Burney, “instrumental to its start.”
